There's no flat price, since the sink itself is usually the small part of the job. What drives the cost is what's behind it: whether the existing water and waste points line up with the new basin, and whether the old valves and traps survive being disturbed.

• Basin replacement, Meadow Springs – $1,525.70. The customer’s existing basin has been discontinued, which meant swapping the sound one from the main bathroom into the ensuite and fitting a new one in its place.

Yes. A licensed plumber must carry out any work connecting to Perth's water supply or drainage system to meet Western Australian regulations. Carrying out this work without a licence is an offence under WA law and can cause significant penalties. In most cases, yes, but it depends on your benchtop material. Undermount basins are fixed to the underside of the benchtop, so they generally need a stone, solid surface or stone composite benchtop. Laminate benchtops are not usually suitable, since the exposed cut edge is prone to water damage without the lip that an above-mount sink provides.

If your benchtop is laminate, we can talk you through options, including replacing the benchtop section or choosing a different sink style that still gives a similar clean look. Cutout size and shape will also usually differ from your existing above-mount sink, so this is something we always confirm as part of the fixed-price quote before ordering anything.

Yes. For a sink vanity installation, we can plumb a basin to your existing vanity or install a complete new vanity and basin unit, including the water supply, waste and any required cabinetry cutouts.
